Software as a service

SaaS or on-premise. Your choice.

gis2web adapts to your environment: deploy it as SaaS with no infrastructure to manage, or install it on your own servers. Either way, it includes a white-label system to fully customise the look & feel of the platform.

SaaS or on-premise

Immediate access as SaaS with no own infrastructure, or deploy on your own servers if required.

Always up to date

New features and security improvements deployed automatically, without interruptions.

White-label

Fully customise the platform's look & feel: colours, logo, typography and custom domain. Your brand, our technology.

Artificial Intelligence

AI-enhanced workflows

AI is built into gis2web to make workflows faster, more accurate and more useful for both field and office users.

Natural language queries

Ask your geospatial data questions directly without writing queries. AI interprets the question and returns results from the map.

Smart forms

Field forms automatically suggest values based on geographic context, history and the type of element being inspected.

Automatic triggers

Define conditions and let AI automatically activate workflows. For example: if it rains, create a maintenance batch at the beach.

Geospatial data analysis

Detect patterns, anomalies and priorities in your network or inventory without manual processing.

What is gis2web?

A complete system for maps on the web

gis2web / BMAPS is a SaaS for publishing and managing interactive maps with full GIS capabilities. Visualize data from databases or geographic files, with no server of your own required. gis2web is an evolution of the BMAPS viewer — the official map viewer of the Giswater Association —, in fact BMAPS version 3 is gis2web.

Architecture

Four pieces, one ecosystem

All components are interconnected through the REST API.

REST API

Integrates all system components. Can be invoked from external systems to create map integrations. Full documentation available.

Backoffice

Complete administration panel to manage layers, map backgrounds, plugins, granular user access, share maps between projects and thematise content. Publish maps from any geospatial source: WMS, WMTS, databases or geographic files.

Embeddable component

Map viewer without its own UI. Delivered as HTML iframe, embeddable on any website. Exposes methods and emits events to control 100% of its functionality.

gis2web

Integration of the embeddable component and the backoffice. Reference integration with support for community plugins and integrations.

Integration

In 4 steps

Integrate maps into any website in minutes.

01

Authenticate user via API

02

Request the map from the API

03

Insert the iframe into the site

04

Extend with @vidromaps/map-handler

Plugins

Extend the functionality

BMAPS has a plugin architecture that allows adding specific functionality to each installation.

Maneuvers

Calculates cuts in water networks with minimum impact on users (known as mincut). Support for topological inventory, valve exclusion and multiple selection. Algorithms for planning water network cuts, including global cuts.

Inventory

Information plugin for the geospatial inventory. Clicking on any map element displays its attributes, topological relationships and connected elements. Includes free-text and coordinate search. Configurable: choose which fields are shown, in what order, and in what language.

Cadastre

Cadastral parcel search and cadastre layer visualization. No additional configuration required.

Bookmarks

Save map locations for quick access. Multilingual, extent configuration and double-click navigation.

All our algorithms are designed with efficiency and speed as the core premise. Network cuts execute in seconds (<5 sec) and more complex processes complete in under a minute.

Specialized algorithms

Algorithms for water and wastewater networks

gis2web includes specialized algorithms for water networks designed for exceptional performance. Simple algorithms execute in less than 2 seconds, while complex ones complete in just a few seconds. Automate complex operations without slowdowns.

Cut polygons

Determines the minimum valves to close to isolate a fault. The system allows real-time modifications with automatic recalculation, detects affected customers and meters, and corrects impacts including areas isolated from reservoirs or pumps.

Network sectorization

Given the flowmeters and valves in the network, automatically draws the measurement sectors that divide the network for better control and monitoring.

Flow direction analysis

In wastewater networks, detects upstream and downstream elements. The hydraulic order algorithm ensures minimum displacement while complying with the upstream-to-downstream movement criterion.

Advanced algorithms

Available for integration: detection of meshed and tree-like areas in wastewater networks, detection of drainage bottlenecks, and maximum flow calculation between two points.

The viewer that works for you

These screenshots show only a few of the available features. gis2web also includes geolocation, print, measurement, search boxes, advanced zoom, layer management, background selector and many more tools — all configurable from the backoffice.

Integrated cadastre

Integrated cadastre

Query cadastral parcels directly on the map, with no additional configuration.

Drawing tools

Drawing tools

Draw, measure and annotate on the map. Export the geometry or connect it to a workflow.

AI-assisted forms

AI-assisted forms

Field forms automatically suggest values based on geographic context and the inspection history of each element. Fewer errors, faster operations.

More features

Data sources

Publish layers from any WMS or WMTS source and share them between projects. Reusable as layers in any map in the ecosystem.

Filters

Layer filters and configurable filter forms. Operators: =, !=, >, <, in, between. Configurable default values.

Info system

Gets information by clicking on the map from multiple sources: WMS/WFS, GeoJSON or custom plugins.

Backoffice

Everything configurable from the backoffice

From the administration panel you fully configure every map: layers, tools, access and visual behaviour. No code required.

Map configuration

Map configuration

Define layers, map backgrounds, initial extent and zoom restrictions. Each map is configured independently.

Table of contents (TOC)

Table of contents (TOC)

Organise and group layers in a navigable TOC. Users control layer visibility from an intuitive interface.

Style system

Style system

Complete system for thematising content: colours, line types, icons and labels. Implements the full OpenLayers style feature set for fully customisable per-layer visualisation.

Publishing & access

Publishing & access

Publish maps, manage granular access by user or group and share maps between projects. All from a single interface.

Tools

Add functionality to your map by dragging buttons

Configure each map's tools visually: drag the buttons you need and arrange them. Available: drawing, content filters, geolocation, GeoGMAO-specific functions, cadastre layer, geocoders for searches and much more.
